WINTER (pruning)
December - February: vine dormant pruning
March- Finalizing pruning, tie canes to wires as buds swell
March 22- Tour de Paso: Join the Chateau Robles team " ride like the winded" at the Cancer Community's annual bike ride through the vineyard of Paso Robles. Contact us for additional information
SPRING (Bud Break & Growth)
April- Bud break, shoot training, weed management
May - June Suckering to remove unwanted shoot from the trunk, Shoot thinning and bloom management
May - Sip and paint in the vineyard
SUMMER (Canopy Management)
July: Leaf removal / thinning to increase sunlight on fruit or create canopy to protect the fruits from the hot sun
August- Veraison when the grapes changes color, cluster thinning for fruit quality, pest management
September - October - Testing fruit maturity and getting ready for harvest
October- Harvest party (date to be determined) . Come join us for grape harvest, grape stomping and wine tasting
AUTUMN (Harvest)
September - October: Testing for fruit maturity of sugar and acidity and harvesting
October: Harvest Party. Come join us for vineyard tour, grape picking and stomping and bbq.
2026 date to be determined.
November: Post-harvest vineyard cleanup
